Working Hard or Hardly Working? (Spoiler Alert, It’s the Former)

Buckling down today to tackle a scene that’s been giving me some trouble.

I have no one to blame but myself (curse you, hindsight!) and so to get in the mood I decided to do a little research. Having finally hit the sweet spot between application and theory and, well, here we go! The keen eyed among you might even spot all the subtle (and not so subtle) reminders I used to see how it’s done in the photos below.

Oh, and if you’ve never picked anything up by Charles Henderson do yourself a favor and change that fact at your earliest convenience. I forgot how awesome that book is….may even have to gush about it on here some day.
