Current Mood

As I sit here enjoying a cup of coffee and staring out at the rain I’m also contemplating what I’m going to do on my day off tomorrow (spoiler it’s going to involve more writing and coffee if I have anything to say about it).

All too often we refuse to notice things that are right in front of us, caught up as we are in the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. Here, however, with only the rhythmic clicking of the clockhands, a good cup of joe, and the occasional roll of thunder before me I can’t help but close my eyes and smile.

What a beautiful birthday this turned out to be! Thank you again for those who sent along good wishes (it’s much appreciated and I’ll take all the help I can get)

Now if you excuse me it’s time for some whiskey cake (along with a complimentary glass of bourbon of course!) .
